Touted as the most powerful, technologically advanced, high-performance Jeep® vehicle ever – the all-new 2012 Jeep® Grand Cherokee SRT8® – is scheduled to arrive in Middle East showrooms early next year. It combines Jeep’s legendary capability and utility with the advanced performance engineering from Chrysler Group’s Street and Racing Technology (SRT) team. The figures from Jeep say the new 2012 Jeep® Grand Cherokee SRT8 runs from 0-100 kmph in 4.8 seconds, has a top speed of 160 mph, and brakes from 60-0 mph in 116 feet.

Powering the 2012 Jeep® Grand Cherokee SRT8 is Chrysler Group’s all-new 6.4-litre HEMI® V8 with Fuel Saver Technology that delivers 470 horsepower (351 kW) and 465 lb.-ft. (630 Nm) of torque – an improvement of 50 horsepower and 45 lb.-ft. torque over the 6.1-litre HEMI® V8 it replaces.
