All those who made funny faces at the new of Yaris in a TRD suit can relax their muscles now. Or contract them in joy of excitement. The latest recipient of the Toyota Racing Development kit is none other than the FJ Cruiser. Last weekend, a fleet of FJs kicked off their TRD presence in style at the Gulf News Overnighter held in Umm Al Quwain.

The FJ Cruiser TRD expands the line-up of existing TRD vehicles, which includes the Toyota 86, Yaris Hatchback, Yaris Sedan, Corolla, Aurion and Fortuner TRD.

TRD front skid plate protector, TRD coil springs and shock absorbers, Dress up Muffler to complement the performance, Black side sill protectors to ward off the gravel and stones, 17” TRD black alloy wheels, TRD shift knob, TRD mudguards and fender flares.

FJ Cruiser 2015 comes with a 4.0L V6 engine and 5-speed Automatic giving out 270 hp and 381 Nm of torque. A new crawl control system and fog lamps are standard, and also new is a navigation system and audio controller. The FJ has  built-in air compressor that help inflate the tyres after off-roading.

The 2015 FJ Cruiser range begins at AED 119,500 and the new TRD model will be available across all Al-Futtaim Motors Toyota showrooms at AED 155,000.
