If there has ever been a time to help each other, this is it. Car brands across the world have been at the forefront of supporting the ailing and protecting the rest. One way is by supporting existing customers to get through challenges and troubles related to their cars, and most of all in keeping worry aside.

Now, as things get back to normal, here is a quick glance guide to the help and support your car brand is offering. Please check with your service centre to confirm current work timings and exact details of their offer.

ASTON MARTIN

Warranties that are due to expire, or have expired since 14 March 2020 or, in the case of China, since 1 January 2020, will be extended to 30th June 2020. Not following the mandatory requirement of service schedules will not disrupt the warranty, until restrictions change and appropriate dealer operations are able to resume. All cars need to be serviced within three months or 2,000 miles/ approx. 3200 km (whichever is earlier) only.

AUDI

A worldwide extension has been granted on cars produced in Europe, Brazil, Mexico or India. If the new car warranty or extended warranty expired in the time period between 1st March 2020 and 31st May 2020, three months extra coverage is being offered by the manufacturer with the maximum limit on 31st August 2020.

Audi Abu Dhabi and Al Ain now offering online service booking, with free pick-up and delivery within Abu Dhabi and Al Ain with complimentary sanitization and fumigation.

BMW

Abu Dhabi Motors offered a pickup and delivery of cars within a 30km radius for service-related needs.

Cadillac General Motors has teamed up with Al Ghandi and Bin Hamoodah to alleviate any additional worries from its customers, by extending warranties. Warranties expiring between March 1st and May 31st have been extended by two months. 24/7 roadside assistance has also been extended by 3 months, from April 1st until June 30th, 2020.

Al Ghandi was also offering a “Stay At Home” courtesy service that was completely contactless to provide maximum social distancing. Now as the stay-at-home norms have been less restrictive, the free service is now given way to pick-up and drop-off at a reasonable charge of AED 80.

Chevrolet General Motors has teamed up with Al Ghandi and Bin Hamoodah to extend the warranties for existing owners. Warranties that expired between March 1st and May 31st have been extended by two months. 24/7 roadside assistance has also been extended by 3 months, from April 1st until June 30th, 2020. The pick up and drop-off service for the car scheduled for service now continues at a reasonable charge of AED 80.

GMC: General Motors has teamed up with Al Ghandi and Bin Hamoodah to support its customers through extended warranties. Warranties that expired between March 1st and May 31st have been extended by two months. 24/7 roadside assistance has also been extended by 3 months, from April 1st until June 30th, 2020.The pick up and drop-off service for the car scheduled for service now continues at a reasonable charge of AED 80.

HYUNDAI and GENESIS: Juma Al Majid Est. has launched a new customer-assurance extended programme, Hyundai CARE. All passenger vehicles whose original warranties are due to expire between 1 March and through May 2020 would benefit from a warranty extension of up to three months until 31 May 2020. The same benefit will be available for their luxury brand Genesis.

INFINITI AW Rostamani Group in Dubai, Sharjah, and the Northern Emirates, have introduced a “FREE pick-up + Drop-off + Ozone Treatment” package to its customers, besides frequent sanitization processes including a complimentary “Ozone Treatment” to sanitize vehicle interiors. Service appointments may be scheduled by dialing 800INFINITI. Customers can also choose to pay their servicing charges through secure online payment channel.

Al Masaood Automobiles are also arranging to get cars picked up and promptly returned to customer’s doorstep once service is carried out. Al Masaood Auto App can take care of service appointment bookings, roadside assistance and live chat service.

KIA: A global warranty extension program from the manufacturer covers original Kia warranties that expire between February 1 and April 30, 2020. The extended coverage is till June 30, 2020. In the UAE, the program will also benefit those who were unable to bring their car in for free servicing or pre-paid maintenance during the UAE Sterilization Program.

MOPAR (FCA)

Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is the manufacturer of Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep and RAM vehicles worldwide and Mopar® is their exclusive service, parts and customer care provider. If a contractual warranty, whose maintenance plan or an extended warranty plan expires during the COVID-19 lock-down in the Middle East, it will be extended one month after the end of the of the lock-down, as mandated by the authorities in their country of residence..

PEUGEOT  Customers in Dubai and the Northern Emirates can make use of the Valet Service Program by visiting the dedicated website uae.peugeot.com/services/valet-service and get their car picked up from home location. Later, the service advisor would speak to the customer about the time and cost of service, and once done, the car is delivered back to the customer – fully sanitised!

PORSCHE

Porsche has extended the new car warranty by a further three months for all cars whose warranty expired between 1 March 2020 and 31 May 2020. If someone has already purchased a Porsche Approved warranty whose start falls in the same period, it will also be extended by three months.

RENAULT

Last checked, Renault was offering free pick-up and drop-off of customer cars, and a 60 minutes Express Service to reduce waiting times. A free health check-up for any Renault vehicle and 0% interest easy payment plans were in place on select credit cards during holy month, besides free ozone sanitization.

UD TRUCKS

A 60 day warranty extension for customers has been announced in the Middle East, East and North Africa whose vehicles’ warranties end during the COVID-19 lockdown period. Periodical service and maintenance also will be extended without any impact on the warranty terms.

EXCLUSIVE BENEFITS FOR HEALTHCARE WORKERS

Al Masaood Tyres, Batteries and Accessories (TBA) were offering tyre changing, oil and filter changing, wheel balancing, wheel alignment, battery change, Nitrogen filling, engine diagnostics, puncture repair, wiper change and AC servicing. Similarly, sister company Revolutions Accessories LLC, is offering a free basic service for their Ducati bikes.
