Al Nabooda sponsors charity drive at intersections

Since ‘A Safe Ramadan’ was launched by Al Ihsan Charity Association, they have been distributing light meals at traffic intersections before Maghrib prayers. This year, Al Nabooda Automobiles, the Authorised dealer of Porsche, Audi, Volkswagen in Dubai and Northern Emirates will be the main sponsor of the initiative.

The light meal boxes contain water, juice, dates and Ramadan sweets. In 2012, it distributed 40,000 meals in Ajman, Dubai and Sharjah.  In 2013, 100,000 meals given away with the addition of Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Qwain. This year, Abu Dhabi and Fujairah will also be added to the network, while the charity targets the distribution of 6,800 meals per day and a total of 200,000 meals over the course of the Holy Month.

With support from the Police Authority of each Emirate, Al Ihsan Charity works with a team of more than 400 volunteers for this cause. The overriding objective of the initiative is to reduce excessive speed and accidents on the roads, while educating drivers about being safe during Ramadan. People have a tendency to speed in their effort to join family or friends in time to break the fast.

The lucky owners will be identified by Emarat Al Youm in conjunction with the relevant authorities over the next five weeks. While Toyota Avanza will ease their worries with 7-seater convenience and excellent fuel efficiency, the six families will also benefit from one-year’s free insurance and registration.

Nissan offers 2 million to buyers

Arabian Automobiles is offering a generous 2 million dirham in gifts for buyers of Nissan. Every buyer is a winner, whatever the amount and the campaign kicked off with a Ms. Fatima Bahman M. Nowroozi winning AED 50,000 in cash.

According to Arabian Automobiles, Nissan sales grew by 29% in the first quarter of 2014 while overall growth of the UAE auto market stood at 12%.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi spreads Iftar feast for orphans

The community-based deed of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi last week had a special touch. They welcomed over 250 orphans for a special Iftar at its renowned restaurant ‘Mamma Rossella’. The initiative, in collaboration with the UAE Red Crescent Authority. Before the Iftar, the children enjoyed several rides and attractions in the shade of the Park’s rooftop.
