BMW Abu Dhabi importer marks record year
Last year, around the same time, Abu Dhabi Motors, the official BMW Group importer in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, unveiled the world’s biggest BMW showroom in Abu Dhabi. Looks like, that was just the beginning of a record-breaking year.
In 2012, the company’s Abu Dhabi and Al Ain showrooms delivered 5,358 vehicles – the highest number of BMW vehicles sold in one year in the Middle East, and the first time any BMW Group Middle East importer delivered more than 5,000 cars in 12 months. Record continued in terms of sales growth, with a 21% increase in BMW and MINI sales compared to the previous year. Abu Dhabi Motors continued its good record for January and February 2013 with an increase of 20% over 2012. Rolls-Royce sales achieved a 53% increase as well.
Thrifty now offers Volkswagen
Car rental and leasing company Thrifty is adding 300 Volkswagen cars to its 17000 plus fleet in this region – Jetta and Passat for now and Polo later this year. Special annual leasing price: Jetta at AED 1,999 and Passat at AED 2,499 per month.
Thrifty customers, that include Fortune 500 company staff, will be thankful for it. Those who won’t be too happy are the ones who seek to buy the Passat SE at Al Nabooda. That trim level and most of the base version too have been completely wiped out from the showroom! Now we know why.
