With the F1 Abu Dhabi GP behind him, Vettel had another job to take care of at the capital. Drive around prospective customers of the excusive Infiniti FX Vettel Edition and give them a chance to experience the car as the Formula One Double World Champion and Infiniti’s global brand ambassador originally intended it to be.
The Infiniti FX Vettel Edition is available at Arabian Automobiles and retails at AED 500,000. Only 50 will be sold across ME.

Boasting 420bhp, the real potential of the FX Vettel Edition was fully explored by Vettel at the Al Forsan circuit in Abu Dhabi. The Infiniti FX Vettel Edition features a 5.0 litre V8 420 bhp engine and Formula One-inspired technology including advanced aerodynamic devices and carbon fibre components, unique 21” BBS alloy wheels and a bespoke interior to Vettel’s own specification. The normal FX brings up 390 bhp from the same engine but this spike up is just what an F1 driver would obviously demand. It seems Vettel was also in love with Carbon fibre – you will find it wrap the cabin almost seamlessly! Just 150 examples have been created in total, of which 50 will eventually grace the roads in the Middle East.
The winner of the Race Day VIP ticket, clocked an unbelievable 1 minute 32 seconds. Philippe Valenza is the one in the green short and is all of 18 years old!
The Infiniti FX Vettel edition was unveiled at the grand finale of the ‘Unlock the Race’ competition, held at the Infiniti Centre at Sheikh Zayed Road on 31 October. The gala evening featured the Red Bull Racing Test and Reserve Driver, Sebastian Buemi, world renowned driver and the ‘voice of Formula One’, Martin Brundle as well as young and enthusiastic racers of the virtual world, competing for a place at the Race day VIP pavilion.
