The new Lexus ES 2013 slips off the Camry platform this time and ascends the Avalon platform for larger space and comes in two engine variants. The ever-popular ES350 features a V6 3.5 L engine while the newly introduced ES 250 has a 2.5 L four-valve with features such as roller rocker arm system, which help achieve optimized performance. Both are Dual VVT-i engines and mated to the six-speed automatic Electronically Controlled Transmission with intelligence (ECT-i) for smoother shifts and better economy of performance.

The new longer ES features a lower profile, and clean, continuous styling lines. Wheelbase: 45 mm longer, Overall increase: 25 mm, Knee room: 70mm more and Legroom: 104mm extra!
Interior Designed for Comfort and Spaciousness
The modern interior of the 2013 ES has been designed to provide both a sense of openness and security. Sightlines and visibility are improved, controls are logically placed, and new cabin materials express a high level of craftsmanship. A power tilt & telescopic steering column with all-way adjustment has been adopted. Lexus has been always known for a silent cabin and now fluid-filled engine mounts, new sound absorbing materials and a tuned engine intake once again minimize outside noise.

The second-generation Remote Touch Interface (RTI) allows the user to operate the climate, audio, phone, navigation (optional) and more. The screen menus are selected with a controller on the center console.
The new ES will feature enhanced Leather seating surfaces, developed to reduce environmental impact. Available comfort and convenience features include manual door window shades, a power rear shade, and a one-touch power trunk closer.
Confident Driving Dynamics
Suspension and steering changes and a stiffer body are developed for more precise handling. A reduction in the steering gear ratio delivers a more responsive and direct steering feel. Increased body rigidity is achieved through lightweight, high tensile strength steel, added bracing and additional spot welds. The ES comes equipped with standard 215/55R17 low rolling resistance tires on 17-inch alloy wheels.

The new ES gets the new family semblance with its distinctive, spindle grille. High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps, LED daytime running lights and rear lamps that reflect the “L” design motif illuminate the individuality further.

The ES features a segment-leading 10 airbags as standard equipment. Whiplash Injury Lessening (WIL) front seats are designed to limit excessive head movement in certain rear-end collisions helping to decrease the severity of whiplash-type injuries.
