The Maserati GranTurismo ‘Special Edition’ marking 60 years is now on display at Al Tayer Motors, Sheikh Zayed Road showroom in Dubai.
Geneva Motor Show hosted the first Maserati Grand Touring car. The model was the 3500 GT, and that was 60 years ago. It sold over 2200 units in both coupe and cabrio versions. The GranTurismo and GranCabrio Special Editions celebrate the 60th anniversary of Maserati’s essential models, and through them the Maserati legacy itself.
“The UAE is one of the few Middle East markets, which is able to present a small number of units of this limited edition GranTurismo car to our Maserati aficionados. It is a rare opportunity to own a car with a classic design and now in a distinctive colour,” said Hossam Hosni, Vice President – Maserati at Al Tayer Motors.
Only 400 units of the Special Edition will be produced and will be marked by the New Rosso Italiano three-layer paint for the exteriors, reinterpreting the red of Fangio’s 250F – F1 champion in 1957 – a golden moment in Maserati’s heritage. The MC-design 20” alloy wheels come with a new glossy black finish to complement the Special Edition logo wheel centre caps.
The interiors feature Poltrona Frau leather or leather/Alcantara upholstery and the interior stitching is available in 4 different combinations. While the doorsills are carbon fibre with the gleaming Special Edition logo, the central tunnel flaunts a ‘one of 400’ plate with a carbon fibre holder.
The car is available in 7 colours, of which 3 are special edition, and comes with the standard three year/ 60,000 kilometre extended service package.
