It’s been the season of renewal for MG. The British brand known for its sports heritage since 1924 saw a rejuvenating spurt of Chinese investment in the past decade. In the UAE, MG Motor has found a new distribution partner in Al Yousuf Motors, and is all geared up to take the brand forward, true to its 93 year old promise.
The signs of new life were evident at the 2015 Dubai Motor Show, and yesterday it was distanced beyond doubt when SAIC Motors – owners of the MG brand – announced their partnership with Al Yousuf Motors to represent the sales and service of MG Motor in five locations across the UAE. The new partners will offer new and existing customers of MG a whole gamut of services including with new car sales, servicing, finance packages and leasing deals.
New locations of Al Yousuf Motors for MG sales and service: Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai / Musafa, Abu Dhabi / / Al Ittihad Street, Ajman / Mohammed bin Zayed Rd. – E11, North Ras Al-Khaimah / Mohammed Bin Matar Road, Fujairah.

The new partnership is all set to take the brand forward with an enticing range of four models – especially the MG RX5 and ZS (pictured here) that were launched earlier this year. Boosting customer confidence, MG is offering a six-year/200,000km warranty on its models.

MG’s global favourites MG 3 and MG 6 are not yet being brought into this market but the brand plans two more Crossover SUVs for later this year. The brand is future conscious and has an active interest in electric vehicles. Test vehicles are going to be introduced in KSA and Kuwait as well, testing climate compliance and charging stations have been set up for battery testing (pictured below: MG E-motion concept).

Owners of the MG brand for over a decade, SAIC Motor has featured in the Fortune Global 500 List for the 13th consecutive year in 2017, ranking #41 overall and 7th amongst all global automakers. Last year alone, the Group sold over 6.93 million units worldwide.

Spokespeople for SAIC Motors confirmed that parting ways with AW Rostamani Trading is amicable and smooth. In fact, existing customers of MG Motor can continue to visit AW Rostamani trading for their servicing needs until August 2018.
