It is 20 years since the McLaren F1 GTR claimed victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. McLaren Automotive will once again revive the legend by conferring the iconic title on the track-only edition of the award-winning McLaren P1™. Once the 375th and final example of the road car completed, its track-only version will go into production, defying road rules and wearing the historic badge to become the most powerful McLaren ever – the McLaren P1™ GTR.

Le Mans, France. 17th - 18th June 1995. McLaren F1 GTR in action.

The company design is to shape the McLaren P1™ GTR as the best drivers’ car in the world on track, with greater levels of performance, grip, aerodynamics and downforce than the road car. An intended power output of 1,000PS (986 bhp), race-proven slick tyres, a widened track and more aggressive and distinctive styling will offer optimised performance around a lap.

The McLaren P1™ GTR programme will be priced at AED 9.84 million (£1.98m), and will include a tailored programme for its owner to improve driver capability. Exclusive consultations with the McLaren driver fitness team and Design Director Frank Stephenson, privileged access to one of the McLaren racing simulators, and participation in a minimum of six dedicated international drive events at some of the world’s most iconic Formula 1™ circuits are in the offing. Needless to say, the McLaren P1™ GTR will be few and rare.
