Being an SUV manufacturer might not seem as impressive as being a company that manufactures only SUVs. Suddenly, the likes of Jeep and Land Rover come to mind. Which is why, H6 from Haval is making a bold and confident entry into the UAE market.

When Haval was set up as a distinct entity, separate from parent company Great Wall Motors, the Chinese SUV manufacturer clearly wanted to be recognized for its singularity of purpose and steadfast focus. In half a decade, Haval has become a serious contender for the rising SUV numbers – from Australia to Chile. The Haval is growing in presence, and in the UAE it has just launched the H6 in the most popular compact SUV segment.

Swaidan Trading, the automotive division of Al Naboodah Group Enterprises (ANGE), hosted the launch at their Sheikh Zayed Road showroom, next to Peugeot. Swaidan Al Naboodah, ANGE Managing Director said, “We’re excited to be bringing the new model Haval H6 to the UAE. It is set to raise the bar in the family SUV vehicle market. The Haval is China’s bestselling SUV for good reason and the new H6 brings more power, more style and a higher level of safety.”

The H6 captures the most trending features in the evolving SUV market and then adds some more. While turbocharged power is no more a novelty, a 2.0L Turbo engine that generates 195 hp and 315 Nm of torque harnesses attention instantly. The H6 features a 7-speed dual clutch transmission and an all-wheel drive. Haval has equipped its compact SUV with segment-defying features like Bosch rain sensing wipers and 360° parking camera. Other impressive features include 19” alloy wheels and a six speaker audio system. Even the lower trim of the two trims available features 18” wheels! Haval seems to have sensed the pulse of the UAE market and its never-ending appetite for big power and bigger wheels!

The new compact SUV looks imposing, and features an interior design that can match up to European design in many respects – like the unique touch screen design that is flush with the dashboard, which has a pronounced driver-oriented character.

Setting new segment standards and safety norms are features like lane departure warning, lane change assist, cross traffic alert, and other intelligent electronic driving assistance systems. Haval claims the H6 is built to induce driver confidence with high-strength body structure, excellent braking performance, FRH blind spot visual system, reverse camera with dynamic reversing auxiliary line and the brake override system. The H6 also has dual airbags, ABS, electronic brake distribution, brake assist and traction control.

Greg Cottrell, General Manager, Automotive Division, Swaidan Trading said, “People want safety, power, style and value for money when investing in a new vehicle and the all new Haval H6 delivers just that. The Chinese have invested heavily in technological advancements through the Haval Technology Centre, a multi-billion yen facility in Shanghai, and this is evident in the precision technology incorporated into the vehicle in areas such as in the semi-automatic parking assistance system, three-mode power steering and cruise control.”

Ajit Kumar, ANGE COO Commercial, said, “Rigorously tested for local conditions… we are confident that the new Haval H6 offers our customers a competitively priced, top marked luxury vehicle that comes with advanced technology, exceptional safety and comfort as standard.” His words find expression in features like power steering, power windows, central locking, keyless entry, push-start, Bluetooth, rear parking sensors and alloy wheels.

The new compact SUV comes in two trim levels – the lower trim costs AED 69,900 while the upper trim offers a plethora of safety and dynamic features, has leather seats instead of fabric and is priced competitively at AED 79,900. The H6 can be viewed at six Haval showrooms across the UAE.
