Voyah joins Dubai Police
Once again marking their commitment to smart and sustainable mobility, Dubai Police has added the VOYAH FREE EV to their fleet. The VOYAH FREE is an Extended Range Electric Vehicle which means it operates primarily on electric power, driven by dual electric motors with a high-efficiency petrol-fuelled generator serving to recharge the battery to extend driving range without demanding frequent charging. Cost savings moving up priority ladder, Dubizzle reports
The dawn of May came with another increase of nearly 8% in petrol prices. Super 98 now stands at AED 3.66/litre, Special 95 at AED 3.55/litre, and E-Plus 91 at AED 3.48/litre.
Incidentally, Dubizzle had released results from market data that pointed towards a surge in interest and shift towards in electric and hybrid vehicles.
It highlights a visible surge in EV interest, with engagement increasing by 24% in the first week of April, way above the 5% growth in gasoline and diesel segments. Hybrid demand has grown by 8% emphasising buyer behaviour that considers long-term savings rather than upfront price. EVs from global and emerging brands have benefitted, with three highlights being Tesla, Xiaomi and BYD.
In a contrasting engagement phenomenon, high value vehicle made their way up the interest share by a good 23% while value-conscious segments like Japanese brands have seen a 4% increase in pageviews for vehicles costing less than 100,000.

Corvette Grand Sport to have new 6.7 L V8
Great news for enthusiasts. Chevrolet is reviving one of Corvette’s most storied racing names with the 2027 Corvette Grand Sport, and giving rise to another with the Grand Sport X. Their next-generation V8 engine will produces more torque than any other naturally aspirated V8 before it.
Born in the early 1960s as a limited run of five C2 race cars, Grand Sport has long stood for lightweight, track-focused Corvettes that look as fast as they drive. The new Grand Sport lineup will showcase the best of the eighth-generation Corvette fleet, with the choice of either a removable-roof coupe or hardtop convertible.
At the core of every 2027 Corvette Grand Sport and Grand Sport X is the next-generation LS6 6.7L V8 – the same flagship engine that powers the 2027 Stingray as well. The LS6 raises the bar for performance through engine architecture upgrades that will soon benefit other V8-powered Chevrolets. With 535 horsepower and 705 Nm, this naturally aspirated engine sees increase in power and torque across the rev band compared with its predecessor.
Dubai Autodrome has unveiled MotoDrome
A new purpose-built off-road motorsport destination for riders is being launched within the Hill Circuit of Dubai Autodrome, MotoDrome adds a new dimension to Dubai Autodrome’s year-round position as a central hub for off-road riding that caters to riders of all levels, from first-timers to experienced enthusiasts. MotoDrome features a 1.8-kilometre motocross circuit and a 1.2-kilometre flow track, with three progressive riding levels that allow participants to build confidence and advance over time. The varied destination makes space for a range of disciplines, including quads, cross cars, 4×4 activations, and electric dirt bikes.
